During Oral Questions to the Department for Transport, Huw asked the Government what steps have been taken to improve accessibility at railway stations.
After the Minister assured Huw that £300 million had been made available for the Access for All Programme, Huw followed up with whether passenger assistance should be reduced from 24 hour notice to same day, to allow more travel flexibility for those with mobility issues. The Minister agreed and stated that she had tasked the Rail Delivery Group to looking at the Passenger Assist App to ensure that it was providing the necessary information.
