Bexhill MP, Huw Merriman, launched the date of next year’s Jobs Fair to the Bexhill Chamber of Commerce’s business breakfast last Friday. He urged local businesses to register their interest in this free event which will take place on Friday 5 April 2019.
Now approaching its 4th year, the Bexhill Jobs and Apprenticeships Fair in association with Hastings Direct and Bexhill College has consistently proven to be highly successful for both job seekers and employers. Last year at least 48 jobs were filled as a direct result of the Jobs Fair across a number of sectors including Financial Services, IT and Care.
Huw said “The Bexhill Jobs & Apprenticeships Fair has a proven track record of success and I am really proud to be part of this exciting community-led event which will be held at the De La Warr Pavilion on 5 April 2019.
“Each year a wide variety of local businesses and organisations attend the Jobs Fair to offer jobs, apprenticeships, skills development, work experience and guidance to people of all ages.
“If you are looking for your first job, considering what to do when you leave school or college, hoping to change career or returning to work, then the Jobs Fair will have something for you. This year we are excited to be offering, for the first time support, and guidance on setting up your own business or being self-employed. Local businesses and organisations should register early for the Bexhill Jobs and Apprenticeships Fair as places are limited and are expected to be in high demand.”
Stewart Drew, Chief Executive of the De La Warr Pavilion said “We are delighted the De La Warr Pavilion will once again be hosting the Bexhill Jobs & Apprenticeships Fair. It’s a fantastic event, a dynamic and welcoming place where people can explore the best employment and skills development opportunities the local area has to offer.’’
