This week the Transport Select Committee has looked into the use of e-scooters. Despite widespread use, they are currently banned on our pavements and roads. From next week people will be legally allowed to ride e-scooters in designated test areas as the Government trials their use on the road.

I asked the Transport Minister whether it was just a technicality that you need to hold a driving licence to be able to use an e-scooter on the road.
