I spent much of today visiting a number of businesses in our constituents with local Rother District and East Sussex County Councillors.
First off, we visited Oastbrook Vineyard to see how their production of local Sussex wine is growing and learn more about the measures they are taking to attract more people to visit their vineyard. We then stopped off at Planters Farm Shop on the A21. Planters have recently received a grant from the local council to upgrade part of their store. This has allowed them to increase the number of products that can sell, creating a larger customer base.
It was really positive seeing how local businesses are continuing to grow and thrive, boosting the local economy and providing important job opportunities.
