Last month, I submitted a series of questions to the Home Office regarding the Northeye proposal that had been raised with me by residents of the Northeye estate.

I have now received a response from the Home Office which I am publishing given my commitment to ensuring that all the information I receive relating to the proposal is disclosed and transparent. You can find the Home Office’s response below this message.

I continue to hold a dialogue with both the Immigration Minister and Northeye residents. As I have previously committed, when a decision is made to advance this centre, and we know in what form it will be, I will engage in a wider public event. I will also ensure that my website continues to be updated as and when I receive further information.
