Local employers in sectors including Construction, Financial Services, Hospitality, IT, Telecoms, Manufacturing, Engineering and Health & Social Care, will be looking to fill live job vacancies at this year’s Bexhill Jobs & Apprenticeships Fair on Friday 25 March.

More than 40 local businesses and organisations will be recruiting into live full and part-time jobs, apprenticeships, placements, training opportunities and courses at the upcoming event at the De La Warr Pavilion.

The fair, in association with Bexhill College, is one of the highlights of the local jobs and skills calendar. A not-for-profit community-led initiative, the event is organised by the De La Warr Pavilion, Huw Merriman MP, Bexhill College, Rother District Council with support from the Bexhill Chamber of Commerce.

Huw Merriman MP said: ‘The Bexhill Jobs & Apprenticeships Fair is a fantastic opportunity to explore the local jobs market and have genuine discussions with prospective employers about their current vacancies. So, whatever your skills or level of experience, we would urge anyone considering a new job, interested in a change of career or thinking about returning to work to come along on 25 March.’

Stewart Drew, Director & CEO, De La Warr Pavilion, said: ‘The fair is a great place to find work, explore your next step or discover full and part-time courses and training opportunities.

We’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone to what is always a really relaxed and friendly community event.’ The Bexhill Jobs & Apprenticeships Fair is on Friday 25 March 2022, 11am – 3pm at the De La Warr Pavilion. Explore the exhibitors and register to visit in advance at www.dlwp.com/jobsfair or come along on the day.

Statement from Huw Merriman MP

Thursday, 23 May, 2024
After 9 years as the Member of Parliament for Bexhill and Battle, I have made the decision not to stand as a candidate at the next election. This means I will also leave my job as Rail Minister on 4 July. I have loved being an MP and I leave with a heavy heart.
