Huw Meets Stonegate CE Primary School Students in Parliament

Stonegate CE Visits Parliament

Local MP Huw Merriman met students and teachers from Stonegate Church of England Primary School in Parliament this morning. 

The students had a tour of Parliament and a workshop on political campaigns in Parliament's Education Centre. Huw joined the group to answer the students' questions and hear what policy areas they wanted him to speak up about in Parliament. 

Commenting, Huw said: 

It was fantastic to meet Stonegate CE's students and answer their questions - many of which really got me thinking! We discussed my jobs as an MP and many policy areas including climate change. 

It was great to hear their ideas and opinions on policy and it is clear that Stonegate is doing a fine job encouraging their students to be politically informed.
