Local MP, Huw Merriman, today met Guy Partridge, who manages our Christians Against Poverty (CAP) team, to discuss financial challenges facing families in our area.
Many local people are currently feeling the financial squeeze from inflation and the rising cost of living. Formed in 1996, CAP has more than 400 staff members across the UK and has helped tens of thousands of families with money and debt worries.
Speaking after the meeting, Huw said:
"Many families across our constituency have faced money worries over the past 12 months due to cost of living challenges. The Government has sought to help people with a package of support. It was really helpful to receive an update from Guy on the situation locally and learn about the support CAP can offer, including face-to-face advice, support and solutions for anyone with money or debt worries."
