Sarah Newton, the Minister for Disabled People, Health & Work, held an event on the 21st of February, which gave Members of Parliament an opportunity to learn more about the Disability Confident initiative. Huw attended the event to support other MPs who wished to become Disability Confident Employers. At the event, they were given the resources needed to work with businesses in their constituencies. 

Last year, Huw committed to help employers in the Bexhill and Battle constituency, who wish to be more inclusive, to encourage them to sign up to the Disability Confident scheme which helps employers open up their workforce to disabled people.
